II. Proposed recruitment number

Anhui Medical University will recommend 10 applicants to China Scholarship Council, and the specific enrollment number is subject to the approval of China Scholarship Council.

 

III. Funding period

The High-Level Postgraduate Program is an independent program of Chinese institutions. In principle, no Chinese tutoring is provided. The funding period for professional study is the same as the basic study period, which is three years for master's students and three years for doctoral students.

 

IV. Application requirements

1. Non-Chinese nationals, physically and mentally healthy.

2. Age, education background and language requirements: Applicants for master's degree should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualifications, with excellent academic performance, and are generally under 35 years old; applicants for doctoral degree should have a master's degree or equivalent, with excellent academic performance, and are generally under 40 years old; applicants for master's or doctoral degree who apply for program with Chinese as the teaching language must pass the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) 4; applicants shall also meet the entry requirements of the university to which they apply in terms of academic ability, language ability and other relevant aspects.

 

V. Application documents

Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (completed in English or Chinese).

 Front page of the passport. If the validity period of the current passport does not meet the requirements (the passport validity period should be later than September 2023), please replace the passport with a new one in time.

 Notarized certificate of highest academic qualification. If the applicant is a student, he/she must submit a certificate of expected graduation or proof of attendance issued by the school he/she is studying.

Academic transcripts (from undergraduate level onwards). Scanned copies of transcripts should include undergraduate, master's (if any) and doctoral (if any) study stages, up to the most recent semester. Transcripts may be provided in Chinese/English. For transcripts in languages other than English, an additional English translation with notarization is required.

Proof of language proficiency. Applicants applying for programs with Chinese as the professional teaching language must provide an HSK score report that is within the period of validity and corresponds to the appropriate Chinese language proficiency requirement. Applicants applying for programs with a foreign language as the professional teaching language shall provide proof of language proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL transcripts, as required by the university.

Pre-admission notice.

 Study plan. A study plan (1000 words or more) in Chinese/English shall be submitted. The study plan of doctoral students shall be signed by the Chinese supervisor. The study plan shall be written in Chinese or English.

 Letter of recommendation. Letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors shall be submitted.

Personal works.

Applicants under the age of 18 must submit the relevant legal documents of their legal guardians in China.

Physical Examination Record for Foreigners. The inspection results are valid if obtained within 6 months.

 Certificate of non-criminal record. Applicants must submit a valid certificate of non-criminal record issued by the local public security authorities, which is issued within 6 months before the date of submitting the application.

 

VI. Precautions

1. To ensure that applicants successfully complete the Chinese Government Scholarship application process, it is recommended to complete the online registration of the Chinese Government Scholarship system before March 20, 2023 (inclusive) and pay close attention to their email address and other provided contact details;

2. Each applicant can receive funding from one Chinese government scholarship program at most;

3. Scholarship recipients shall not change their institution of admission after arriving at China and, in principle, their major and duration of study;

4. Chinese government scholarship receivers are not eligible for other scholarships (excluding one-off awards) set up by Chinese governments at all levels and the institution of admission; if found, their Chinese government scholarship status will be canceled and they will be required to return the Chinese government scholarship they have received. For those who deliberately conceal their financial support, in addition to disqualification of financial support, they will not be allowed to apply for Chinese government scholarships within three years.
